Maniac Cop III: Badge of Silence is a 1992 American action horror film and the final entry in the Maniac Cop trilogy. The film follows Detective Sean McKinney (played by Robert Davi), who is investigating a series of brutal murders in New York City. He soon discovers that the culprit is Matt Cordell (Robert Z'Dar), a former police officer who was wrongfully accused and killed while in prison. The twist is that Cordell has somehow come back to life and is seeking revenge against those who wronged him.

The opening scene shows Cordell being transported to a hospital after a brutal prison attack. He seems dead, but in fact, he is just unconscious. As he wakes up, he realizes that he has lost his memory and has no idea who he is, where he is or what happened to him. Meanwhile, a group of corrupt cops are framing an innocent man for the murders that Cordell has committed. Detective McKinney, who knows Cordell's true identity, tries to clear his name and stop him from killing more people.

What follows is a cat-and-mouse game between Cordell and McKinney. Cordell is looking for answers to his past, and wants to clear his name, while McKinney is trying to arrest him and stop his killing spree. Along the way, they encounter a cast of colorful characters, including a beautiful TV reporter named Caitlin (Caitlin Dulany) who uncovers the corruption within the police department, and a voodoo priestess who possesses the power to bring Cordell back to life.

The film features a lot of action and suspense, with plenty of gore and violence. There are also some genuinely creepy moments, such as when Cordell lurks in the shadows, hunting his next victim. The film's setting in New York City gives it a gritty, urban feel, with scenes taking place in dark alleys, abandoned buildings, and run-down apartments.

One of the strengths of the film is the performance by Robert Z'Dar as Cordell. He imbues the character with a silent, menacing presence that is both frightening and intriguing. Despite being a monster, Cordell is also sympathetic, as he seeks to clear his name and find some kind of redemption. Robert Davi as McKinney is also a standout, bringing a tough, no-nonsense attitude to the role. Dulany is a welcome addition to the cast, providing some much-needed levity and charm to the proceedings.

Overall, Maniac Cop III: Badge of Silence is a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy. It may not be the most original film, but it delivers enough action, horror, and suspense to keep viewers engaged. The film builds on the mythology established in the previous two entries, and provides a fitting end to the Maniac Cop saga. Fans of horror and action films will find plenty to enjoy here, as long as they can stomach the violence and gore.

Maniac Cop III: Badge of Silence is a 1993 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 25 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.0.
