Watch Man in Outer Space

This is a comedy sci-fi movie about a worker who manages to end up in outer space. Joseph is a worker on a new spaceship. His job is to finish upholstering the seats for the crew. While his boss is yelling at him over the communications link, he accidentally manages to launch the rocket. He is the only person aboard the ship.

While he is in space, he finds and takes aboard an alien passenger. This alien goes back to Earth with him, but hundreds of years have passed. Joseph does not understand how this could happen. He must now answer to the authorities for his unauthorized ride and passenger.
