Watch Madame Sat

Loosely based on the real life of João Francisco dos Santos, a notorious figure in Brazilian pop culture. Performing as Madame Sata, she was a flamboyant and popular performer. But at home, dos Santos was a tough character who worked as a street fighter and brothel cook, and served as a father to seven adopted children. When Madame Sata's singing takes the streets of Rio de Janeiro by storm, dos Santos finds himself entertaining a medley of underworld denizens.
