Lovers of Hate is a 2010 indie film written and directed by Bryan Poyser. This dark comedy-drama follows the story of two estranged brothers: Rudy and Paul. Rudy (played by Chris Doubek) is a failed writer who lives in a run-down motel in Park City, Utah. Paul (Alex Karpovsky) is a successful children's author, who wants nothing to do with Rudy. The only thing they have in common is their love for Diana, Rudy's ex-wife.

The film starts with a black and white sequence of Rudy packing his things and leaving his apartment. He heads to Park City and checks into a motel, where he starts working on his latest novel. As the story unfolds, we learn that Paul has also come to Park City on a book tour. Rudy, who is still bitter about his divorce, hates the idea that his brother has become a published author, and resents his success. He decides to secretly follow Paul and Diana (played by Heather Kafka) who is now Paul's girlfriend/rebound.

Things start to unravel when Rudy sneaks into Paul's rented mansion and finds out that he has the spare key to the place. Rudy decides to use this to his advantage, as he manages to sneak into the house during a book signing event. He then finds a secret hideaway and decides to hide there until everyone has left. When Paul and Diana in advertly come back to the mansion with their friend, Lionel, Rudy witnesses them having sex. This serves to set off a chain of events that slowly but surely turn Rudy into a crazy stalker.

As Rudy's jealousy grows, he becomes increasingly irrational and begins sabotaging Paul's tour. He starts stealing things from Paul's house, deleting his emails, and posting negative reviews of his book on the internet. All of this cumulates into a scene where Rudy drugs Paul, and sends him to an empty ski resort, stranded without his belongings.

Throughout the film, all three main characters are wrestling with issues of love, jealousy, and betrayal in their own way. Diana is caught in the middle of her ex-husband and current boyfriend's tension, and struggles to decide which one she really loves. At the same time, Paul comes to realize that his girlfriend and his brother have feelings for each other, and becomes increasingly paranoid about their relationship. Rudy, on the other hand, is consumed with anger, and can't deal with the fact that he has to watch his ex-wife with another man.

Lovers of Hate is a compelling and well-crafted film that combines humor with tragedy. Although it's not for everyone, it's a film that is likely to be appreciated by fans of indie movies, and people who enjoy dark comedies. The script is sharp, the acting is great, and the setting is spectacular. It offers an intense and thrilling experience that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

Lovers of Hate is a 2011 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 33 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.1 and a MetaScore of 72.
