Kate arrives at a Parisian boarding school from America and immediately becomes besotted with an artist living in the house next door to the school. Encouraged by his girlfriend, the artist embarks on a flirtation with the young woman, Kate is shocked when she witnesses a hit and run accident involving a mysterious car and a pedestrian. As she gets closer to the truth of who was driving the car, Kate's flirtation with the artist passes on to a new level.
