Lost Lake is a thrilling independent horror film from director Marcus Nash that tells the story of a young couple, named Karen and Jack, who embark on a secluded weekend retreat to a remote lake in the mountains to try to work on their struggling relationship. However, things soon take a turn for the worst when they discover themselves being hunted by a group of psychopathic killers who live in the wilderness around the lake.

The movie begins by introducing us to Karen and Jack, a couple who are obviously struggling to make things work between them. Karen is hoping the weekend away will help them to reconnect and work through their issues, while Jack seems distant and uninterested. They arrive at the remote cabin and begin to settle in, but it's not long before strange things begin to happen; doors and windows are left open, furniture is moved, and they begin to feel as though they are not alone.

As they explore the area around the lake, they come across a group of locals who seem to have a strange familiarity with the cabin and its surroundings. They are warned to stay away from the lake, but Karen and Jack brush off their warnings and continue exploring. Soon after, they find themselves being pursued by a group of violent and sadistic killers who seem to be intent on causing them harm.

Lost Lake is a tense and suspenseful horror film that relies heavily on atmosphere and tension-building to create a sense of dread and paranoia. Director Marcus Nash creates an eerie and unsettling environment that keeps the audience on edge from start to finish. The cinematography is stunning, and the hauntingly beautiful location is used to great effect, creating an otherworldly atmosphere that is both beautiful and terrifying.

The performances of the cast are also noteworthy, with Ezra Buzzington giving a particularly chilling portrayal of one of the film's antagonists. Katie Keene and John Shartzer are both convincing in their roles as the troubled couple, and their chemistry is palpable. The supporting cast is also excellent, with each actor bringing a unique energy to their roles and helping to build the tension and suspense throughout the film.

Overall, Lost Lake is an excellent horror movie that is sure to please fans of the genre. The film's unique setting, stunning cinematography, and tense atmosphere work together to create a truly unsettling experience. While it may not be the most original horror film out there, its excellent execution and strong performances make it a must-see movie for any horror fan.
