Following a recent breakup, struggling writer Jules crashes with his best friend, Saul, at his apartment in Brooklyn. Saul wants to drink heavily and lament over his impending divorce, Jules just wants to escape into his latest script. After Saul is fired from his job as restaurant manager and Jules loses an off-Broadway production of his play, the two embark on a bender through New York City in search of solace and sometimes more pain. When the sun rises, neither expects to see the light.
