Lockout is an action-packed science fiction movie from 2012 that stars Guy Pearce, Maggie Grace, and Peter Stormare. The film follows the story of Snow (Guy Pearce), a former government agent who is wrongly accused of a crime that he did not commit. In order to clear his name, Snow is offered a chance to participate in a dangerous mission. He is tasked with rescuing the president's daughter, Emilie (Maggie Grace), who is trapped in a maximum-security prison in outer space, after the prisoners take over the facility during a riot.

At the beginning of the film, Snow is sentenced to 30 years in a maximum-security prison after he is accused of killing a fellow agent. When the president's daughter, Emilie, arrives at the prison to investigate the living conditions, the prisoners stage a violent riot, taking the staff and Emilie hostage. The president promises Snow a full pardon in exchange for rescuing Emilie and bringing her safely back to Earth.

As Snow embarks on his mission, he faces a series of obstacles, including the ruthless prisoners who have taken control of the prison, as well as the corrupt officials who are determined to stop him. Snow's determination and resourcefulness are put to the test as he battles through a barrage of obstacles, using his wit and fighting skills to overcome each challenge. Along the way, Snow encounters Hydell (Joseph Gilgun), who is one of the prisoners responsible for the initial riot, and his deranged brother Alex (Vincent Regan). Alex has his own dark agenda and will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

Lockout is a fast-paced, intense film that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats from start to finish. Guy Pearce delivers an impressive performance as Snow, portraying the character with a mix of charisma and toughness. Pearce's portrayal of Snow is both stoic and comedic, making the character more relatable to the audience. Maggie Grace also brings depth to her character, portraying Emilie as a strong and intelligent leader who refuses to crumble under the pressure of her captors.

Peter Stormare plays Marion Snow’s former handler, Langral, who is determined to capture Snow and discredit him once and for all. There are also some great supporting performances from Lennie James, who plays Hock, one of the prisoners Snow encounters, and Jacky Ido, who portrays the computer expert, Alex's right-hand man.

The film is directed by James Mather and Stephen St. Leger, who deliver a visually stunning and expertly choreographed action movie. The film's cinematography and special effects are top-notch, creating a believable and immersive environment that draws the audience into the story. The action scenes are also well executed, with intense fight sequences and great use of special effects.
