A group of Japanese high school girls form a rock band, but after just three days of practice, the lead singer and guitarist drop out. The other girls are eager to continue and they ask a Korean girl to step in as singer. The Korean girl is an exchange student in Japan and speaks the local language poorly -- yet, she can really sing well. The band continues to struggle as they look for gigs, fans and popularity as they chase their dream of rock-and-roll stardom.
