Watch Lenin, You Rascal, You

This Danish film directed by Kristen Stenbaek presents a light-hearted farce. Set near the close of the First World War, the comedy recounts a series of funny intrigues and humorous incidents occurring when the Communist radical Vladimir Lenin emerges from exile in Switzerland to venture back to Russia, his native country. Czar Nicholas II's government has opposed Kaiser Wilhelm's German government during the global conflict. Now German General Ludendorff arranges for the controversial Communist to travel home in a private railway car. Along the way, the Russian must handle a series of propositions from several female espionage agents and anarchists.
