Legendary Weapons of China is a 1982 Hong Kong martial arts film directed by Chia-Liang Liu and starring Chia-Yung Liu and Kara Wai. The movie centers around the use and mastery of unique martial arts weapons by various martial arts schools in China during the Qing Dynasty. The film opens with an explanation of the history of the Wudang Mountains and the origin of some of the weapons that will be featured in the movie. The story then shifts to three martial arts schools who are all in search of a fifth weapon to complete their arsenal. The schools are the Mutant Sect, the Wu Tang Clan, and the Wu Dang School. The Mutant Sect is a group of powerful swordsmen who possess the Yin-Yang Sword; the Wu Tang Clan is a powerful clan who specializes in the use of the powerful Butterfly Knives; and the Wu Dang School practices Tai Chi and is known for their mastery of the Tai Chi Sword.

The three schools all send messengers to the Wudang Mountains in search of a fifth weapon, which they believe to be a powerful staff known as the Wooden Man. However, when they arrive, they find that the Wooden Man has been stolen. The three schools then team up to search for the thief and retrieve the staff.

Their journey leads them to a powerful group of fighters known as the Yang Sisters, who possess not only the Wooden Man staff but also an array of powerful weapons. The Yang Sisters prove to be a formidable challenge for the three schools as they engage in battles using unique weapons such as the Eight-Dragons Sword, the Nine-Section Whip, and the Golden Spear.

As the groups fight for possession of the Wooden Man, they learn that it is not just a powerful weapon, but also a sacred relic with the ability to summon a powerful force known as the Dragon of Death. The Dragon of Death is a mystical creature that only appears to protect the lives of the innocent, but will kill anything that threatens them.

The search for the broken pieces of the Wooden Man staff becomes an epic fight for survival as the groups must battle intense enemies, including the "flying guillotine", a deadly weapon capable of decapitating its victims. Along the way, they discover the secrets and techniques to the weapons they seek, like the long-cherished Taiji Fist, and uncover powerful martial arts skills such as "Blood Foil", "Butterfly Swordsmanship" and "Iron Palm".

As the story reaches its climax, the three schools unite to defeat the Yang Sisters, but they soon learn that defeating them will not be easy. They are extremely skilled and possess unique weapons that are very difficult to defeat. The final showdown is a brutal and bloody battle that is a testament to the skill and ability of all the fighters involved.
