Jack Glum was a famous clown who loved to make people smile. He and his wife spent their lives helping children who were displaced. Things go wrong for Jack when he finds out that he is extremely ill and will die soon. He begins to fall into a deep depression over his fate, but his wife will have none of it. She does not allow him to make excuses and insists that he live his life to the fullest until the very moment he dies. He sees her point of view and decides that she is right. He must go on, and that could mean that more children get the help they need.
