Watch Le dossier 51

This French spy thriller was directed by Michel Deville and adapted from the novel of the same name by French espionage writer, Gilles Perrault. The plot of the film very closely resembles that of the book and follows a mysterious, spy agency which ominously tracks, and attempts to control, the life of an honorable French diplomat. Tracking the diplomat's every move, the shadowy organization documents their finding in Dossier 51, the label of the target. Through certain trusted contacts the organization discovers that the diplomat may be a closeted homosexual, thus they arrange a sexual encounter, one which could threaten not only the diplomat's career and family, but also his very life.
