Lakshyam is a 2007 Indian Telugu-language action film directed by Srivass and starring Gopichand, Anushka Shetty, Jagapathi Babu, and Yashpal Sharma in prominent roles. The film's plot revolves around two individuals, Chandu (Gopichand) and Nandu (Jagapathi Babu), who are on the run after stealing a large sum of money from a don, Damodar Reddy (Yashpal Sharma). However, they soon realize that their life has become a living hell as they are relentlessly chased down by Reddy's henchmen. To make matters worse, they end up becoming pawns in a larger criminal conspiracy.
The film begins with Chandu, a happy-go-lucky guy, leaving for Mumbai to meet his father's friend. Upon arrival, he meets Nandu, a small-time crook who is being chased by the police. The two quickly become friends and decide to team up to win a large sum of money in a card game. They eventually win the game but soon realize that the money belongs to Damodar Reddy, a notorious don who is known for his ruthlessness.
Reddy employs his henchmen to chase down Chandu and Nandu, but the duo manages to give them the slip each time. Realizing that they cannot evade Reddy's men forever, they decide to return the money to him. However, as soon as they reach Reddy's den, they witness a murder committed by Reddy's right-hand man, played by Ravi Babu. With this knowledge, Reddy's men frame Chandu and Nandu for the murder and they become fugitives on the run.
While on the run, Chandu and Nandu attempt to clear their names while evading the police, Reddy's men, and others who are after them. They discover that the murder they witnessed is part of a larger conspiracy involving a corrupt politician (played by Prasad Babu) and a police officer (played by Satyam Rajesh). With this knowledge, they set out to expose the conspiracy and clear their names.
The film's action sequences are slick and well-choreographed, with Gopichand and Jagapathi Babu delivering solid performances as the leads. Anushka Shetty, who plays a journalist investigating the conspiracy, also delivers a good performance. Yashpal Sharma, who plays the villain, is menacing and convincing in his role.
The film's music, composed by Mani Sharma, is catchy and adds to the film's pacing. The film's cinematography, by Sam K. Naidu, is also noteworthy, with the action sequences being shot in a way that adds to the film's intensity.
In conclusion, Lakshyam is an enjoyable action thriller that keeps the viewer engaged from start to finish.
