La Fidelidad is a 1970 love drama directed by famed Argentinian director Juan Jose Jusid. La Fidelidad means faithfulness in Spanish, and Mr. Jusid paints a picture throughout the movie of the exact opposite of being faithful to a mate, which is being involved in infidelity. Three couples live in the same neighborhood. They mingle with one another, with disastrous results. The sex and any raunchiness isn't illustrated but it's implied clearly and what's going on between the three married couples is anything but faithfulness. The movie also illustrates a problem that's been ongoing since the 1960s, the high rate of divorce in South America, most specifically Argentina.
