Kundakka Mandakka is a 2005 Tamil romantic comedy film starring R. Parthiban, Vadivelu, and newcomer Lakshmi Rai in the lead roles. Directed by Ashokan and produced by Parthiban's home production, the movie revolves around the love story between two young people. The story begins with Ravi (R. Parthiban), a car mechanic falling in love with a college student Mythili (Lakshmi Rai). Though Mythili initially avoids Ravi, eventually, she reciprocates his love. However, their happiness is short-lived as Mythili's father (Nassar), who is a respected and influential businessman, objects to their relationship due to Ravi's modest background.
Mythili's father plans to get his daughter married to a wealthy businessman, and Ravi is heartbroken. However, Ravi finds consolation in the form of his friend Thoothukudi Kaduppu (Vadivelu), a small-time crook who always gets into trouble. Kaduppu, who is fond of Ravi, encourages him to fight for his love.
Ravi tries to convince Mythili's father about his intentions, but he remains adamant about not letting his daughter marry someone from a humble background. Meanwhile, Kaduppu comes up with a plan to get Mythili's father to agree to the relationship. He blackmails a corrupt politician, and as a result, the politician's goons attack Mythili's father. Ravi saves Mythili's father, and in return, he agrees to their relationship.
However, things take a turn for the worse when Kaduppu tries to steal a precious idol from Mythili's house as a part of a plan to become rich. Kaduppu gets caught, and Mythili's father accuses Ravi of being a part of the plan. Ravi gets arrested, and Mythili's father agrees to withdraw the case if Mythili marries the wealthy businessman he has chosen.
The movie comes to a climax when Ravi manages to escape from prison and tries to stop Mythili from getting married. Will Ravi be able to stop Mythili's wedding and win her father's approval? What will happen to Kaduppu, who is still stuck in prison? Watch the movie to find out.
Kundakka Mandakka's storyline is typical of a Tamil romantic comedy movie, with a hero who is willing to do anything for his love. Director Ashokan attempts to keep the audience entertained throughout the movie with a mix of comedy, romance, and action. The movie has some hilarious moments, especially with Vadivelu's character, which keeps the audience engaged.
