Kolobos is a horror movie released in 1999 directed by Daniel Liatowitsch and David Todd Ocvirk. The film is centered around a young woman named Kyra Mitchell (Amy Weber) who is a survivor of a house massacre. In order to overcome the trauma she has experienced, she decides to participate in an experimental documentary film where the participants live together for a period of time and their lives are recorded through cameras installed all around the house.
The film starts with a brief introduction of the documentary and its six participants with different personalities. They all move into a house without knowing each other and the only thing they know is that they are being recorded by cameras which are installed in every corner of the house. At first, everything seems normal - they get to know each other, have fun, and enjoy their time together. But gradually things start to go wrong.
One of the participants, Gary (Donny Terranova), starts to act creepy and weird. He has violent tendencies and his behavior becomes increasingly erratic. The other participants start to feel uneasy around him and they begin to suspect that something is not right. The tension in the house grows and the participants become paranoid, causing some of them to become aggressive towards one another.
As the days go by, strange and terrifying events start to occur in the house. The participants begin to disappear one by one, leaving the remaining participants in constant panic and fear. It becomes clear that they are not alone in the house, and that something or someone is targeting them.
Kyra, as the main protagonist, becomes more and more involved in the strange happenings in the house. She starts to have visions and flashbacks of the previous massacre that she survived, which somehow seems to be linked to the current events happening in the house. As she tries to piece together what is happening, she realizes that they are all trapped in a maze-like structure, with no visible way out.
The film culminates in a final showdown between the remaining participants and the mysterious force that has been tormenting them. Kyra must use all of her strength and courage to overcome her fears and confront the entity responsible for their plight.
Kolobos is a horror movie that is not merely focused on gore and jump scares. It is a gripping thriller that keeps the audience engaged throughout the entire film. The use of cameras within the movie gives the audience a voyeuristic perspective of what is happening in the house. The film also features solid performances by the main cast, particularly the leading lady Amy Weber, who delivers a convincing and emotionally charged performance.
Overall, Kolobos is a well-crafted, suspenseful horror movie that is a must-watch for fans of the genre. Those who dare to enter the mysterious and treacherous house of Kolobos are in for a thrilling and chilling ride.
