"Knowing" is a science-fiction thriller movie that follows the life of John Koestler (Nicolas Cage) as he discovers a coded message that has predicted all of Earth's disasters in the last 50 years. The film begins in 1959, where a schoolgirl creates a drawing of events that will happen in the future, and her school buries the drawings in a time capsule. In 2009, the time capsule is dug up, and John's son, Caleb (Chandler Canterbury), receives the girl's drawing. John, an astrophysicist, soon realizes that the numbers on the drawing indicate the dates, locations, and death tolls of significant disasters, including 9/11.

At first, John's findings are met with skepticism from his colleagues, but as he uncovers more predictions that have come true, he becomes increasingly convinced that the next disaster is imminent. In the meantime, Caleb has disturbing visions of a world-ending event, which add tension to the story.

John becomes fixated on stopping the predicted disaster and ends up trying to track down the source of the codes - a task that leads him to a mysterious, shadowy group that seems to have orchestrated the predictions.

As the story progresses, the tension rises as John's obsession affects his relationships with his family, particularly his estranged wife, Diana (Rose Byrne), and their daughter Abby (Lara Robinson). There are several action scenes, particularly towards the end, as John races against time to prevent the impending disaster.

The movie is a blend of sci-fi and apocalyptic elements, with a number of tense and thrilling moments. The concept of an encoded message predicting future events is a compelling one, and the story does a good job of keeping the audience engaged throughout the film. The acting performances, particularly Nicolas Cage's, are solid, and the cinematography is sleek and stylish.

One of the most significant strengths of the film is the way that it manages to evoke a sense of dread and impending doom, which creates tension and helps to keep the audience invested in the story. The apocalyptic themes are well-executed, and there are several moments throughout the film that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats.

Overall, "Knowing" is a well-crafted, well-acted thriller that provides an engaging story and plenty of tension. The combination of sci-fi and apocalyptic elements makes for a unique viewing experience, and the film is definitely worth checking out for those who enjoy this genre.
