In the year 2000, the Knight Foundation has been disbanded and the Knight 2000, aka KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand), has been stored away in a warehouse for the last decade. Michael Knight (David Hasselhoff), the former driver of KITT, has been living in seclusion and hasn't been seen or heard from in years. However, when the Knight Foundation's granddaughter, Elizabeth Traynor (Susan Norman), needs Michael's help to stop a new and deadly car from being produced, he agrees to take on one final mission. Michael is joined by the new driver of the Knight 4000, Sean (played by Brandon Tartikoff).
The Knight 4000 is a difficult car that can transform into a flying vehicle, has advanced weapons capabilities, and an artificial intelligence named KARR (Knight Automated Roving Robot). KARR is similar to KITT, but with a more violent and unstable personality.
The action in this movie is non-stop. Michael and Sean must stop the production of the futuristic car while taking out KARR, who has gone rogue and has been using the car to cause destruction and disorder.
As the duo race against time to stop KARR and solve the mystery behind the production of this dangerous car, the film provides lots of action-packed driving scenes, intense shootouts, and lots of cool gadgetry. The movie also features a high-speed chase that showcases KITT and KARR's abilities as they battle it out in a standoff.
While the plot of this movie is similar to that of the original show, the stakes are higher in Knight Rider 2000. The more advanced technology makes the action scenes more exciting, and the dramatic music playing throughout the movie complements the scenes well.
David Hasselhoff returns in his iconic role as Michael Knight, wearing a flashy leather jacket and sporting his signature hairstyle. As always, he's the cool and confident hero who can handle whatever challenge comes his way. Susan Norman delivers a respectable performance as Elizabeth Traynor, who is on a mission to help Michael save the day.
Knight Rider 2000 isn't just for fans of the original series. The movie is entertaining with its action scenes, special effects, and thrilling storyline. It's all set in a futuristic world that seems plausible given how technology has advanced over the years.
For fans of the original show, Knight Rider 2000 brings back beloved concepts like KITT, Michael's car that can talk, and the "talking light" scanner. It's the perfect way to relive the nostalgia of the '80s with a futuristic twist.
Overall, Knight Rider 2000 is a thrilling, entertaining movie that brings back the magic of the original show. It's full of pulse-pounding action, great acting, and a storyline that never slows down. It's a must-see for fans of the original Knight Rider series and for anyone who enjoys a great action movie.
