Kinetta is a dark and moody film released in 2005 by Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos. It is a mysterious thriller that sets a gloomy tone right from the beginning and it never quite lifts. The film focuses on three people who seem to be living virtually the same existence, but only come into contact with each other at odd intervals.

The lead character is a young woman named Marina (Evangelia Randou) who works as a hotel maid. She has a fascination with the violent and morbid aspects of life and often spends time exploring abandoned buildings and photographing her surroundings with an old Polaroid camera. She has a strange compulsion to mimic the poses of dead bodies she finds while on her explorations. Her actions put her on the radar of a police detective, who is convinced that she was at the scene of a crime several years prior.

The second character is a member of the police force named Stratos (Aris Servetalis). He is a lonely man who lives in a small apartment and spends his free time practicing martial arts. When he's not practicing, he is a crime scene photographer for the police department. He becomes obsessed with Marina after encountering her on a few occasions and begins to stalk her.

The third character is a man named Dimitris (Costas Xikominos) who works as a salesperson for a company organizing tourism events. He is visiting the town where Marina and Stratos live to conduct a survey on the attitudes of tourists. During his survey, he begins a relationship with Marina and the two of them spend time exploring the town and abandoned buildings together.

The film takes a very minimalist approach to storytelling, with little in the way of dialogue or plot exposition. Instead, it relies heavily on mood and atmosphere to establish its tone. The film is also notable for its visual approach, with long sequences that are often silent and rely on Marina's photography to tell the story.

Overall, Kinetta is a challenging and atmospheric film that rewards careful attention from viewers. While it may be too minimalist for some, those who enjoy a more unconventional approach to storytelling will find much to appreciate here. The performances by the three leads are excellent, with each actor managing to convey a deep sense of loneliness and isolation that underscores the film's overall mood. While not for everyone, Kinetta is a creative and thought-provoking film that deserves to be seen by fans of the thriller genre.

Kinetta is a 2019 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 38 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.7 and a MetaScore of 54.
