Steve Kilbey Live captures on DVD what The Church frontman recently described as "one of the best shows I've ever performed, whether with the band or on my own". The show in question, performed late 2007 at the Transmission Room in Auckland, New Zealand, features The Church favourites like Under The Milky Way, Almost With You, Electric Lash, Comedown, Tristesse and Hotel Womb, as well as inspired choices from his solo career, and an insight into his influences and peers. Kilbey and his band, Australian 'art-rockers' The Church, have enjoyed strong record sales internationally - with a string of hits over more than two decades, including Metropolis and Under The Milky Way (Billboard Top 40 and voted 'Song of the 20th Century' by readers of leading Australian newspaper The Age).
