Kavacham is a 2018 action thriller film that stars Sai Srinivas Bellamkonda, Kajal Aggarwal, and Mehreen Pirzada in lead roles. The movie is directed by Sreenivas Mamilla and produced by Naveen Sontineni under the banner of Vamsadhara Creations. The movie begins with Vijay (Sai Srinivas Bellamkonda), a police officer, who is very passionate about his job. One day, while on duty, he stumbles upon a case related to a missing girl, Saanvi (Mehreen Pirzada). Without thinking twice, Vijay starts investigating the case, and soon he discovers that Saanvi has been abducted by a gang of criminals. As he delves deeper into the case, he realizes that the mastermind behind the abduction is none other than MLA Sampath (played by Neil Nitin Mukesh).
As Vijay gets closer to unraveling the mystery, he realizes that the case is not as simple as it seems. He discovers that there is much more to it than just a simple abduction. With time, he learns that Sampath has more than one hidden motive behind the crime. He plans to use Saanvi's kidnap to eliminate his political rivals and consolidate his power.
As the stakes get higher, Vijay realizes that he is in a race against time to save Saanvi and stop Sampath's evil plan. With the help of his colleague, Madhu (Kajal Aggarwal), Vijay embarks on a relentless pursuit of the criminals, risking his life to bring them to justice.
The movie is a typical action thriller that follows the tried and tested formula of a cop chasing down criminals. However, what sets Kavacham apart from other movies of the same genre is its treatment. The movie manages to keep the audience engaged throughout its runtime, thanks to its tight narration and suspenseful twists and turns.
Sai Srinivas Bellamkonda shines in his role as Vijay, portraying the character with an effortless ease. His portrayal of a tough cop who goes to great lengths to ensure the safety of the abducted girl is convincing and commendable.
Kajal Aggarwal, who plays the role of Madhu, Vijay's colleague, is equally impressive. Her character is smart and witty, and she manages to provide the much-needed comic relief in the otherwise intense movie.
Mehreen Pirzada, who plays Saanvi, has a limited role in the movie but manages to leave an impact. Her character is vulnerable, and Mehreen fills it up with genuine emotions.
Neil Nitin Mukesh, who makes his debut in Telugu cinema with the movie, is impressive as Sampath, the antagonist. He portrays the character with a menacing charm, making it one of the highlights of the movie.
The music by Thaman S is another plus point of the movie. The songs are catchy, and the background score adds to the intensity of the scenes.
Overall, Kavacham is a well-made action thriller that manages to keep the audience entertained. The movie may not offer anything new to the genre, but it manages to hold its own thanks to its treatment and performances. It is a must-watch for fans of action movies.
