The movie's story revolves around a young boy named Sadananda who lives in a small village in West Bengal. Sadananda's father was a teacher who wanted him to become a doctor, but he failed to get a medical seat. Instead, he started working as a rice trader and got involved in smuggling drugs. As a result, he got into legal trouble and landed in jail, leaving his family in debt.

Sadananda's mother was a dedicated woman who tried hard to pay off the debt by working as a housemaid. She also sent Sadananda to Kolkata to work at a tea stall, where he met a man named Shankar.

Shankar was a local gangster who had a group of followers, and Sadananda was impressed by his power and style. Shankar started to take an interest in him and slowly introduced him to the world of crime. Sadananda became addicted to the lifestyle and started to commit small crimes to impress Shankar.

However, things took a dramatic turn when Shankar's rivals attacked him, and Sadananda used his skills to save him. Shankar was impressed and made him a part of his gang, showering him with wealth and respect. Sadananda got deeply involved in the world of crime and started to ignore his mother's advice.

The movie showcases the struggle of Sadananda, who started on the wrong path but later tried to redeem himself. He realized that his actions had consequences and that he needed to take responsibility for them.
