This documentary on the fate of the last works of one of the 20th century's best known writers may have viewers deciding that they need a will. The documentary explains that when German writer Franz Kafka passed away, his remaining literary works ended up in the hands of Max Brod. A personal Kafka friend and promoter who was instrumental in getting Kafka published, Brod however ignored the writer's final wish. Kafka indicated on his deathbed that he wanted all of his existing unpublished work destroyed. Instead, as the documentary indicates, Broad placed the manuscripts in a single suitcase and began a Kafkaesque odyssey through Nazi Germany and Israel.
