"Kaathala Kaathala" is a Tamil comedy film that hit the screens in 1998. It was directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and produced by P. L. Thenappan. When they reach Bangalore, they realize that the audition is being held in a hotel, which is coincidentally the same hotel where Ammu is staying.

As luck would have it, the duo finds the entire film crew of the movie in the same hotel where they are staying. Kameshwaran and Rameshwaran decide to use this opportunity to impress the director of the film by pretending to be wealthy businessmen. However, things take a hilarious turn when the real rich businessmen show up, and the friends are exposed.

Despite their failed attempts, Kameshwaran and Rameshwaran continue to chase their dreams. They later meet a struggling writer named Krishnaveni (Soundarya), who has big aspirations of writing and directing her own movie. The duo decides to help Krishnaveni in realizing her dream and decides to invest in her film.

With the film now in production, Kameshwaran and Rameshwaran are given the opportunity to act in the movie they helped produce. But the producer of the movie makes a shocking revelation, stating that the film they invested their money and worked hard for, will be released in a porn theater. Kameshwaran and Rameshwaran, along with the crew and Krishnaveni, decide to fake an entire movie to be screened in the porn theater to save their project.

In the end, the fake movie becomes a hit amongst the audience, and Krishnaveni's movie also becomes a blockbuster. The film concludes with Kameshwaran and Rameshwaran finally living their dream of becoming successful actors.
