Just My Luck is a rom-com from 2006 that revolves around two people from opposite ends of the luck spectrum. Lindsay Lohan stars as Ashley, a lucky girl who seems to have everything going her way. She has a great job at a PR firm, an apartment in New York City, and a loving boyfriend named Jake. However, Jake is only using Ashley to further his music career, and she is unaware of this fact.

On the other end of the luck spectrum is Jake, played by Chris Pine. He's an up-and-coming musician who can't seem to catch a break. His band is struggling to make it big, and he's constantly battling setback after setback. One night, Ashley and Jake cross paths at a masquerade party, and everything changes.

The two share a kiss, and in that moment, their luck inexplicably switches. Ashley suddenly finds herself plagued by a series of unfortunate events, while everything starts to go right for Jake. As Ashley scrambles to figure out what's going on, Jake begins to realize that he might be on the cusp of something great.

As the two navigate their new luck situations, they start to learn valuable lessons about themselves and what they truly want in life. Along the way, they both meet new people who make an impact on their journey, including Maggie, played by Samaire Armstrong. Maggie is Jake's bandmate and longtime friend who has always secretly harbored feelings for him.

Despite the unexpected twists and turns of their luck, Ashley and Jake eventually realize that what they truly want is each other. The movie is filled with a lot of comedic moments, like when Ashley accidentally sets fire to her boss's office or when Jake's band embarrasses themselves during a big audition. However, there are also a lot of heartwarming moments as the characters learn to embrace their new realities and grow as people.

One of the standout features of the film is the chemistry between Lindsay Lohan and Chris Pine. The two have great on-screen chemistry and are able to convincingly portray characters who are polar opposites in terms of luck. Lindsay Lohan has always been known for her comedic timing, and she doesn't disappoint in this film. Her portrayal of Ashley is endearing and relatable, and it's easy to root for her as she works to turn her luck around.

Chris Pine is also great as Jake. He's charming and charismatic, and he brings a lot of heart to the role. His moments with Samaire Armstrong's character are some of the most touching in the film, and they showcase a different side of his acting abilities.

In terms of the film's visuals, Just My Luck is filled with bright colors and upbeat music. The fashion and style reflect the mid-2000s setting, and the movie has a whimsical tone that's perfect for a rom-com. Overall, Just My Luck is a fun and lighthearted movie that's perfect for anyone looking for a feel-good romantic comedy.

Just My Luck is a 2006 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 42 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.5 and a MetaScore of 29.
