Two men, one very beautiful woman who just can't say no--and entirely too many apartment keys--add up to screwball comedy in And So They Were Married. World War II. Kathie Aumont (Simone Simon) overturns a saltshaker while on the train to Washington, D.C., to start a new job. Seven weeks of hilarious bad luck begin when Kathie learns her intended roommate has just gotten married and doesn't have room for her. She meets and falls in love with Johnny Moore (William Terry), a young marine about to ship out, who agrees to let her stay in his apartment while he's away. But Johnny has given out 11 sets of keys, and Kathie finds no privacy as servicemen, salesmen, Johnny's former girlfriends--and Johnny's best friend, Mike O'Brien (James Ellison), with whom Kathie also falls in love--enter Kathie's life bringing their suspicions, loves, hates and jealousies.
