In Jaws 3, the third installment of the Jaws franchise, the focus of the story shifts from the seaside town of Amity Island to a new location: SeaWorld. The film takes place several years after the events of the second film, and follows the story of a new set of characters who must face the threat of a massive great white shark. Dennis Quaid stars as Mike Brody, the younger brother of the main character from the first two films. Mike is a marine biologist who works at SeaWorld, and he's in charge of the park's newest and most popular attraction: a massive underwater tunnel that allows visitors to walk among the sharks.

Bess Armstrong plays Kay, a SeaWorld employee who is tasked with overseeing the park's newest arrivals: a pair of young dolphins who are being trained to perform in the park's shows. Kay and Mike have a history together, and it soon becomes clear that they still have feelings for each other.

The film also features British actor Simon MacCorkindale as Philip FitzRoyce, a big game hunter who is hired by SeaWorld to capture the shark alive for the park's exhibits. FitzRoyce is a brash and arrogant character, and clashes with Mike and Kay throughout the film.

The movie is directed by Joe Alves, who was the production designer for the first two Jaws films. Alves brings a strong visual style to the film, and makes great use of the film's underwater setting. The underwater shots are particularly impressive, and give the movie a unique look and feel.

As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that there is a massive great white shark lurking in the waters surrounding SeaWorld. The shark is much larger than any that Mike and his team have ever seen before, and it begins to attack visitors at the park.

The film follows Mike and his team as they try to capture or kill the shark before it can cause any more harm. They also need to find a way to protect the park's visitors, many of whom are trapped in the underwater tunnel when the shark attacks.

As the danger escalates, Mike and Kay work together to try to stop the shark and rescue the visitors. FitzRoyce also gets involved, leading a team of hunters and using his skills to try to take down the massive predator.

Throughout the film, there are plenty of suspenseful moments and thrilling action sequences, as the characters face off against the terrifying shark. There are also some great special effects, with the underwater scenes in particular showcasing some impressive model work.

Overall, Jaws 3 is a fun and thrilling addition to the Jaws franchise. While it might not be quite as tense or memorable as the first two films, it is still a solid entry that delivers plenty of excitement and entertainment. Fans of the series will definitely want to check it out.

Jaws 3 is a 1983 thriller with a runtime of 1 hour and 39 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.7 and a MetaScore of 27.
