It is the late 1940's during the birth of independent Pakistan. Salma, a young girl, is dealing with personal issues, including the murder of her entire family by angry Sikhs. Salma alone escapes. She discovers and joins a Muslim group going to the Muslim-based Pakistan. Her resulting adventure is something she never remotely considered.
