Jamindaru is a 1991 Indian Kannada-language film directed by D. Rajendra Babu and starring superstar Vishnuvardhan and Raasi in the lead roles. This action-packed drama tells the story of a respected and honest landlord who takes on corrupt politicians and businessmen to fight for his people's rights. The movie opens with the introduction of a wealthy landlord Krishnamurthy, also known as Jamindaru. He is loved and respected by his tenants and is the only one who stands up for their rights against the corrupt politicians and businessmen who exploit them. Krishnamurthy is not only a generous landlord but also a true friend to his tenants. He helps them in their times of need and is always there to offer a helping hand.

Krishnamurthy's life takes a turn when he meets Raasi, a young woman who is harassed by a group of miscreants. Krishnamurthy empathizes with Raasi and takes her under his wing, nurturing her like his own daughter. In the meantime, a local businessman, Bhoopathy, sees Krishnamurthy's popularity and decides to use his power to destroy him. Bhoopathy, in cahoots with corrupt politicians, creates hurdles for Krishnamurthy by filing false cases against him.

Krishnamurthy fights them at every turn, but all his struggles go in vain when he is falsely accused of a murder. Krishnamurthy's reputation and goodwill are ruined, and Raasi is abducted. Krishnamurthy is left with no option but to take the law into his own hands to defeat Bhoopathy and his corrupt associates.

The second half of the movie is all about Krishnamurthy's fight for justice. He takes a journey from being a respectable landlord to a fierce warrior who unleashes his anger on the enemies of justice. Vishnuvardhan's performance is exemplary, and he successfully portrays the transformation of Krishnamurthy into a larger than life character in the most convincing manner.

The film's highlight is its action sequences that are intense and gripping. The climax, in particular, is a treat for action movie lovers as Vishnuvardhan delivers some high octane stunts and fights with ease. The background score by Hamsalekha is magnificent and complements the film's tense atmosphere. The dialogues are also impressive and leave an impact on the viewer's mind.

Overall, Jamindaru is a must-watch for all Vishnuvardhan fans and those who love action movies. The movie's story is relevant even today, and the performances by the entire cast are outstanding. The character of Krishnamurthy is an inspiration and stands for all that is right and just in society. The film's message is loud and clear, that injustice must be fought at any cost. Jamindaru is a masterpiece and a classic in every sense.

Jamindaru is a 2002 drama with a runtime of 2 hours and 40 minutes.
