Iyarkai is a Tamil movie from 2003 featuring Shaam, Arun Vijay, and Radhika Kumaraswamy in the lead roles. The movie was directed by S.P. Jananathan and produced by A. E. Abraham V. Rajan. After his release from jail, Vinod discovers that his mother has died, and his father is now living with another woman. He also learns that his father has sold their ancestral property to pay for his bail. Disillusioned by the unfairness of life, Vinod becomes addicted to alcohol and indulges in reckless behavior.

Sathya, who has become a successful fisherman, tries to help Vinod get back on track. He sets up a fishing business for Vinod and helps him get rid of his addiction. Vinod, in turn, helps Sathya win back Janani's love.

The movie highlights the importance of friendship, love, and perseverance in the face of adversity. It also sheds light on the issues faced by coastal communities in India, such as poverty, exploitation, and environmental degradation.
