A documentary about the epic documentary film that Orson Welles never finished. At the height of his fame Orson Welles was contracted by RKO and the US government to make an anthology film about South America in order to improve relations and foster a cultural dialogue. After shooting thousands of feet of footage in three countries the project was scuttled, contributing to the slow decline of the once acclaimed director's career. Told through interviews and historical footage, the documentary concludes with a reconstructed segment of the film created from rediscovered footage shot by Welles.
It's All True is a 1993 documentary with a runtime of 1 hour and 25 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 7.1.
