I.T. is a 2016 thriller film that tells the story of Mike Regan, a successful businessman who has everything: a loving family, a gorgeous home, and a successful company. However, Mike encounters a problem when he meets his new I.T. consultant, Ed Porter. Although initially impressed with Ed's skills, Mike soon finds that Ed is becoming too involved in his personal life and begins to feel threatened.
Pierce Brosnan stars as Mike Regan, the CEO of a successful aviation company. As the film begins, Mike is in the midst of preparing for the launch of his company's new private jet. However, during a live demonstration of the jet, the video feed suddenly cuts out, causing the demonstration to fail. Mike is furious and demands that his I.T. team find the reason for the malfunction.
Enter Ed Porter, Mike's new I.T. consultant. Ed, played by James Frecheville, quickly impresses Mike with his skills and is tasked with finding the cause of the malfunction in Mike's private jet. However, things take a turn for the worse when Ed becomes too involved in Mike's personal life. He begins to spy on Mike and his family, using their personal information to manipulate and control them.
As Mike tries to distance himself from Ed, Ed becomes increasingly aggressive and begins to sabotage Mike's business and personal life. He tampers with Mike's bank accounts, manipulates security cameras, and even sends anonymous threatening messages to Mike's daughter, Kaitlyn.
Desperate to protect his family and his company, Mike turns to his friend and former associate, Hank Asher, played by Jason Barry. Hank used to work for Mike but left the company to start his own business. Hank is initially hesitant to get involved but eventually agrees to help Mike when he realizes how dangerous Ed has become.
The tension in the film is palpable as Ed's actions become more and more extreme. Karen Moskow plays Joan, Mike's long-suffering wife, who becomes increasingly frustrated with Mike's inability to control the situation. She feels helpless as Ed's actions threaten to tear their family apart.
Pierce Brosnan delivers a captivating performance as Mike, portraying the character's frustration and desperation convincingly. Jason Barry's portrayal of Hank provides a strong counterpoint to Brosnan's character, as he brings a subtle sense of depth to his performance.
Overall, I.T. is a well-made thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The film intelligently portrays the dangers of technology and the importance of taking control of one's personal information. It is an entertaining and thought-provoking film that is sure to captivate audiences.
