Filmmaker Lori Felker creates a science-for-kids television program to explore the meaning of matter, or, more specifically, what doesn't matter. Her two wacky physicists, wearing lab coats labeled "MATTER" and "DOESN'T MATTER" respectively, discuss the four phases of matter (solid, gas, liquid, plasma) and the intangible, unmeasurable types of "doesn't matter" (fear, hope, anger, etc.) and the three "mags" (magnitude, magnetism and magic) that allow people to "have" "doesn't matter." Whether or not their experiment in capturing "doesn't matter" actually works, the final image of this clever, suggestive film seems to have the answer. - Marilyn Ferdinand
