Shekhar had left home many years ago and had joined a gang of criminals. Ajit is shocked to discover that his own brother is responsible for the murders.

The rest of the movie revolves around how Ajit tries to catch his brother and bring him to justice. He faces several hurdles and challenges along the way, but his determination and willpower keep him going. The movie also has several subplots that revolve around Ajit's relationship with his wife, Kanchan (played by Lara Dutta) and his father, Thakur Dharamraj Rathod (played by Amitabh Bachchan).
