Ice Age: Collision Course is a 2016 computer-animated adventure comedy movie, directed by Mike Thurmeier and Galen T. Chu and produced by Blue Sky Studios. The movie opens showing the three main protagonists, Manny the woolly mammoth, Sid the ground sloth, and Diego the saber-toothed tiger, enjoying their peaceful life in the Valley. However, the peace is not meant to last for long as an asteroid is on its way to Earth, which may cause extinction for all creatures.

The storyline of the movie revolves around how the herd members come together to save themselves and their loved ones from the catastrophic event. Many hurdles come their way, including the cosmic meddling of Scrat, the acorn-obsessed squirrel, who tries to bury his acorn away from others causing the asteroid to change course and head straight for earth.

The storyline also takes a personal turn for Manny, who's daughter Peaches is set to get married to her fiancé Julian. The latter's over-enthusiastic parents bring a touch of glamour to the trilogy through their fancy lifestyle, and their complete love and acceptance for their son's future in-laws. The subplot follows Peaches' father's attempt to bond with Julian's father, despite their differences.

The movie is set against the backdrop of a colorful and vibrant prehistoric world, complete with spectacular landscapes, lush vegetation, and vibrant creatures. The character design is excellent; the animals are cute, hilarious, and expressive.

The movie's cast is impressive as well, with some of the best voice actors who have given life to the characters of the franchise. Ray Romano, as Manny the mammoth, returns with his usual warmth and humor, while Denis Leary reprises his role as the daring saber-toothed tiger, Diego. John Leguizamo provides his trademark wit and humor to the character of Sid, the clumsy and adorable ground sloth. Other notable voice actors in the movie include Queen Latifah as Ellie, Manny's wife, and Stephanie Beatriz as Gertie, a new character in the series.

The humor in the movie manages to appeal to both kids and adults with equal measure, with witty one-liners, puns, and slapstick routines. The jokes are clever and never feel too juvenile, making the movie a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone.

The movie's animation is astonishingly beautiful, with an incredible attention to detail on every character, landscape, and action sequence. The texture of the fur on the animals, the intricacies of the plants, and the details of the backgrounds look convincingly real.

The movie also explores some interesting themes, including love and acceptance, working together to achieve a common goal, and familial values. The character arcs are well thought out, and the movie gives each character ample development.

In conclusion, Ice Age: Collision Course is a fun, entertaining, and visually stunning animated movie that will appeal to both kids and adults. It provides a fitting end to the franchise, culminating in an exciting and heartwarming finale.
