I, Monster is a 1971 horror film that stars Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, and Mike Raven. The film is loosely based on the Robert Louis Stevenson novella, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, but with a twist. The story follows Dr. Charles Marlowe (Christopher Lee), a respected and brilliant psychologist who is obsessed with the idea of separating a man's good and evil sides. His theories are met with skepticism by his colleagues, including his mentor, Sir Frederick Utterson (Peter Cushing).

Using a drug he has developed, Marlowe transforms himself into his evil alter-ego, Edward Blake, who goes on a killing spree across London. Utterson soon discovers Marlowe's secret and attempts to intervene and stop him.

The film is notable for its use of subjective camera shots to depict Marlowe's point of view, as well as a haunting score by composer Carl Davis.

Christopher Lee delivers a chilling performance as both the brilliant Dr. Marlowe and the violent Edward Blake, showing off his iconic range as a horror actor. Peter Cushing is equally impressive as the skeptical Sir Frederick Utterson, who is torn between his loyalty to Marlowe and his duty to stop him.

The film's themes of duality and the nature of evil are explored in a visceral and unsettling way, making it a classic of the horror genre.

All in all, I, Monster is a must-see for fans of Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing, as well as anyone interested in classic horror films. Its unique take on the Jekyll and Hyde story makes it stand out from other adaptations, and its haunting score and subjective camera shots add to its eerie atmosphere.
