Hyderabad Nawabs is a 2006 Indian comedy film directed by Lakshmikanth Chenna, starring Masti Ali, Aziz Naser, and Vandana Gupta. The film is set in Hyderabad, a city in India that is known for its rich cultural history and vibrant nightlife. It tells the story of two groups of friends who are on a quest to find a missing necklace. The movie starts with the introduction of two friends, Pengal (Masti Ali) and Munna (Aziz Naser), who are in search of a job to start their own life. They reach Hyderabad with a job offer of Rs. 50,000, which they got from one of their friends, Salim (Chittu). Pengal and Munna accept the offer and move into a hotel room which they share with their new roommate, Baba (Raghu).
On their first night in Hyderabad, they get invited to a party by their neighbor, whose daughter is about to get married. At the party, they come across a few other characters who become important to the plot later on. There's the groom, who is a DJ, his childhood friend, whose father is a rich businessman, and the friend's sister, who is engaged to someone else.
As the party comes to an end, the groom's necklace goes missing, and the blame falls on Pengal, Munna, and Baba. They are threatened by the groom's friend, who tells them to find the necklace within 24 hours, or else they will be killed.
The trio starts their quest to find the missing necklace, and in the process, they come across a lot of hilarious situations. They visit a pawn shop, a bar, a brothel, and many other places where they think the necklace might be. They also come across different characters like the owner of the pawn shop, a prostitute, a police constable, and a don who all contribute to the humorous situations in the movie.
The movie is a perfect depiction of the life in Hyderabad, with all its quirks and idiosyncrasies. From the language used by the characters to the places they visit, everything is true to the culture of the city. The movie also highlights the differences between the rich and the poor and how they coexist in the same city.
The performances by the lead actors are exceptional, with Masti Ali and Aziz Naser stealing the show with their timing and comic antics. The supporting actors also do a brilliant job, adding to the overall appeal of the film. The music is also a highlight of the movie, with catchy tunes and lyrics that stay with you long after the movie ends.
Overall, Hyderabad Nawabs is a must-watch for anyone who wants to experience the true essence of Hyderabad. It is a movie that will make you laugh, cry and leave you with a smile on your face. The movie is a testament to the fact that sometimes, the simplest stories are the best ones.
