As a lover of action and thriller genre, I have to say that Huntress, released in 2019, is one of the most exhilarating movies that I have had the chance to watch. The movie was directed by Zachary Fitzwalter and stars Tess Speranza, Emily Taylor Martin, and Mariah Maison as the lead actors. The movie revolves around the story of a young woman named Gia (Tess Speranza), who after an unfortunate event, turns into one of the most formidable assassins, known as a Huntress. The movie takes place in a world where mafia-like organizations control major metropolitan cities, and Huntresses are hired to target and eliminate their enemies. Gia is hired by a mysterious client to carry out a hit on a seemingly insignificant person, which leads to a sequence of events that transforms her into the feared Huntress.

The movie explores the psychological transformation of Gia, who quickly discovers the harsh and brutal reality of her new life. She struggles to maintain her emotions and consciousness as the line between right and wrong becomes increasingly blurred. Tess Speranza's portrayal of Gia is nothing short of exceptional. She expertly channels the emotional turmoil and physical prowess of this character with ease.

Emily Taylor Martin plays the role of Jackie, one of the experienced Huntresses who takes Gia under her wing. The nervous and apprehensive Gia finds herself in the company of an expert killer, something she inevitably learns to appreciate.

Mariah Maison portrays the character of Midori, a powerful figure and adversary. She is the leader of the organization responsible for hiring Gia and is depicted as a ruthless woman, who would stop at nothing to protect her interests. Maison does a fantastic job playing the villain and exudes a commanding presence on the screen that adds to the overall intensity of the movie.

The film is well-written and well-paced, with a series of thrilling action scenes that showcases the skills of the Huntresses. The fights are choreographed expertly, and it's evident that the cast put in a tremendous amount of effort to execute the stunts convincingly.

Huntress has a fantastic set design, and the cinematography is visually stunning. From the neon-lit alleyways of the city to the vast and breathtaking landscapes, the locations add to the grittiness and realism of the movie.

The movie is not without its flaws, however. Some of the supporting characters could have had more screen time, as they were integral to the plot but were somewhat underdeveloped. The plot, while engaging, lacked the depth and complexity that fans of the genre might crave, but this was made up for by the well-executed action scenes.

In a world where most action movies are defined by superheroes and supernatural powers, Huntress is a refreshing take on the genre. It tells the story of human beings who are skilled and trained to take on the odds and succeed. It's an empowering story that showcases the strength, ability, and resilience of women.

Overall, Huntress is a thrilling movie that is worth watching for fans of the action and thriller genres. It's a fast-paced and adrenaline-fueled ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. With excellent acting, great cinematography, and thrilling action scenes, this movie is not one to miss.

Huntress is a 2019 science fiction movie with a runtime of 10 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.8.
