House of Dust is a horror movie from 2013 starring Inbar Lavi, Steven Grayhm, and Eddie Hassell. The movie is directed by A.D. Calvo and produced by Calvo and Alyssa M. Miller. The plot revolves around a group of college students who decide to explore an abandoned psychiatric hospital that was once home to a notorious experiment in the 1930s. The students' decision to enter the hospital sets off a chain of events that leads to a descent into madness and death.

The movie begins with a group of four college students-Taylor (Lavi), Frankie (Grayhm), Chris (Hassell), and Emma who decides to explore an abandoned psychiatric hospital. Taylor is the leader of the group and is obsessed with documenting the trip on camera. The group arrives at the hospital and discovers that the building is completely deserted, but is filled with medical equipment, furniture, and other evidence of its past use as a psychiatric hospital.

As the group begins to explore the hospital, they hear strange noises and sense that they are being watched. They soon discover that the hospital is not completely abandoned, but is home to a group of ghosts whose lives were cut short by a brutal experiment conducted on them in the 1930s. The experiment involved the use of a deadly virus that caused the subjects to hallucinate and ultimately die in gruesome ways.

The group of students soon realizes that they are not alone and that the ghosts have no intention of letting them leave the hospital alive. They try to escape, but are met with obstacle after obstacle as the ghosts reveal more about the experiment and why they are there. The students quickly descend into madness as they confront their own demons and the ghosts of the past.

One of the standout elements of House of Dust is its dark and eerie atmosphere. The abandoned hospital is a perfect setting for a horror movie and is expertly used to create tension and suspense throughout the movie. The movie is shot in a way that makes it feel like you are there with the characters, making the scares feel more personal and immersive.

The acting in the movie is also strong, especially from Inbar Lavi, who plays the leader of the group. Lavi portrays Taylor as a driven and obsessive character who is willing to do anything to get the perfect footage for her documentary. Steven Grayhm and Eddie Hassell also give good performances as Frankie and Chris, respectively, but their characters are not as fleshed out as Taylor's.

The movie is not without its flaws, however. The plot is somewhat predictable, with standard tropes of the horror genre being used throughout the movie. The characters are also not as well-developed as they could be, with some being little more than cliches. Additionally, some of the dialogue can come across as a bit cheesy and forced.

Despite these flaws, House of Dust is an entertaining and well-made horror movie. It effectively uses its setting to create a tense and atmospheric experience that will appeal to fans of the genre. The performances from the cast are strong, and the movie will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. If you're a fan of horror movies, House of Dust is definitely worth checking out.

House of Dust is a 2013 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.6.
