In the movie Honest Thief, directed by Mark Williams, Liam Neeson plays the role of Tom Carter, a former marine who turned to bank robbery due to financial difficulties. During his ten-year career, Tom managed to steal 9 million dollars without harming or hurting anyone. However, he decides to turn himself in to the FBI after meeting Annie Sumpter (Kate Walsh), the love of his life, and wanting to start a new life together.

Things don't go as Tom had planned when he walks into the FBI office and meets agents Nivens (Jai Courtney) and Hall (Anthony Ramos). They initially don't believe his story and accuse him of just being a small-time criminal trying to score a deal. However, when Tom offers them the exact amount of money he has stolen, and the agents investigate, they realize that Tom is the real deal. But instead of arresting him, Nivens and Hall decide to keep the money for themselves, setting off a chain of events that puts Tom and Annie's life in danger.

As the FBI agents desperately try to track down Tom, he and Annie go on the run, trying to clear his name, and staying steps ahead of the authorities. Along the way, they must fight off hired killers who want to steal the money for themselves and prevent them from talking to the FBI. In the end, Tom and Annie must decide whether to continue running or confront the FBI agents and try to clear his name, before they end up dead or behind bars.

Honest Thief is an action-packed crime thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Liam Neeson delivers yet another powerful performance in his signature role as the tough yet vulnerable anti-hero. Kate Walsh also gives a strong performance as the loyal girlfriend caught up in the chaos of it all. The chemistry between Neeson and Walsh is palpable, making their relationship the heart of the film.

Although the premise of a hardened criminal wanting to turn himself in and start a new life may seem cliché, the film manages to keep it fresh and exciting by adding unexpected twists and turns to the plot. The pacing of the film is just right, with enough action and suspense to keep you entertained, but not so much that it becomes overwhelming.
