Homage to Chagall: The Colors of Love 1977 is a documentary called a piece of Art History covering seven decades of the 20th Century. Marc Chagall almost 90 and one of the world's greatest artists, a painter, is interviewed wherein he remembers significant times of his life and art. He loved life and people and succeeded in turning both into art. In this interview Chagall also reflects on the role that his Jewish Family background played in his art. At the time Chagall was preparing for an exhibition of his art in retrospect to be held in the Louvre, which would be the first for a living artist.
