A director comes down with a case of hysterical blindness due to the psychological toll of taking on a new project. Once a famous director Val Waxman's career is now in a slump and he is reduced to filming low budget commercials. When he gets a chance to work on a big budget movie once again he reluctantly agrees to take it on even though it means working with his ex-wife and the studio mogul that she left him for.
