Hold Your Breath is a horror movie that starts with a group of friends traveling in an RV to go camping. The group seems to be having a great time until they encounter an old legend about an axe-wielding serial killer named Charlie Barnes. According to the legend, Charlie Barnes was executed at the site where they plan to camp, and his spirit is said to haunt the area.
As the group continues their trip, they stop at a gas station where they meet a local man who warns them not to take any deep breaths while in the woods because the killer can enter their body and possess them. Initially, the group dismisses the man's warnings as the ramblings of an old crazy man.
As they start to set up camp, strange things begin to happen. One of them finds a human tooth on the ground, and they hear eerie noises in the woods. Later that night, while they are gathered around the campfire, one of them disappears. They find her wandering in the woods the next morning, and she appears to be possessed by the spirit of Charlie Barnes.
From this point on, the group is on edge, not knowing who they can trust or how to protect themselves from the killer's wrath. Meanwhile, the possessed member of their group seems to be getting stronger and more violent by the minute.
The tension continues to build as they try to figure out how to defeat the spirit possessing their friend and stay alive. As they work to unravel the mystery of Charlie Barnes, they begin to realize that they may be in over their heads.
Throughout the film, the acting is solid from all the cast members, with standout performances from Erin Marie Hogan as the possessed woman and Randy Wayne as one of the group members trying to protect everyone.
The cinematography is well done, with haunting nighttime scenes that add to the suspense and unease of the film. The special effects are also good, with realistic depictions of possession and gore.
Overall, Hold Your Breath is a solid horror film that delivers plenty of scares and thrills. The story is unique and intriguing, and the pacing keeps you on the edge of your seat. While it does rely on some horror movie tropes at times, it ultimately stands out as a well-made and entertaining horror flick.
