Hills of Utah is a 1951 Western film starring the legendary Gene Autry, his trusty horse Champion, and Elaine Riley. The movie is set in the late 1800s and follows Autry as he tries to bring peace between the cattlemen and sheepherders in the Utah hills. The plot of the movie begins with Gene Autry's character, Gene Autry (yes, he plays himself), arriving in town to perform in a show. He soon learns of the conflict between the cattlemen, led by Tom Bennett (played by Reginald Barlow), and the sheepherders, led by rancher John Ramsey (played by Jim Davis). Gene is a man of peace and decides to try and bring the two sides together.

As Gene begins to investigate the situation, he meets a young woman named Anne (played by Elaine Riley). Anne's father was killed in the conflict, and she is determined to see justice served. Gene and Anne team up to try and find a way to stop the fighting.

Things come to a head when the sheepherders' camp is attacked by the cattlemen. Gene, Champion, and Anne race to try and stop the attack and bring peace to the hills.

The movie has all the classic Western themes, including good versus evil, justice, and loyalty. As always, Gene Autry is the upstanding hero we all know and love, and Champion is as loyal and intelligent as ever. Elaine Riley is also a standout in the movie, bringing a strong and independent female character to the screen.

One of the highlights of the movie is the stunning Utah scenery. The hills and mountains provide a gorgeous backdrop to the action and give the film a real sense of place.

The film is also notable for its music. Gene Autry sings several songs throughout the movie, including "The Hills of Utah," "I'm Gonna Round Up My Blues," and "My Adobe Hacienda." The music is catchy, well-written, and fits perfectly with the tone of the movie.

Overall, Hills of Utah is a classic Western that is sure to delight fans of the genre. It has all the elements that make Westerns great, including gunfights, horse chases, and heroic acts of bravery. However, it also has heart and a message of peace that makes it stand out from other films in the genre.

If you're a fan of Gene Autry, Champion, or just Westerns in general, then Hills of Utah is definitely worth checking out. It's a fun, exciting, and beautifully shot movie that will transport you back to the Wild West.

Hills Of Utah is a 1951 western with a runtime of 1 hour and 10 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.4.
