Hello Brother, a 1994 Indian Telugu language comedy drama film directed by E.V.V. Satyanarayana, starrs Nagarjuna Akkineni, Ramya Krishnan, and Soundarya in the lead roles. The movie revolves around a man named Ravi (Nagarjuna), who works as a bad musician and has no steady income. He falls in love with a rich girl named Sandhya (Ramya Krishnan), who is also his childhood friend. Sandhya's father hates Ravi's lazy and irresponsible nature, which creates a rift between them. Ravi is desperate to win Sandhya's father's approval and wants to make amends. One day, Ravi accidentally meets his lookalike, Nagineedu, who is a contract killer. Nagineedu gets killed in a gang war, and before dying, he entrusts Ravi with a secret mission to finish his unfinished contract. Ravi, sensing an opportunity to prove his worth, takes up the challenge and switches lives with his lookalike.
Ravi, now pretending to be Nagineedu, goes to the place where he is supposed to do the job, but things don't go as planned. He finds himself in a crossfire between two gangs of criminals who both are after a microfilm which Nagineedu had before he got killed. The microfilm has crucial evidence against a notorious criminal, and both gangs want it for their benefits. Ravi, a musician by profession, knows nothing about the hitman's profession and has to navigate through the dangerous situation with his wits.
As Ravi proceeds to execute the contract, the two gangs chase him, and Ravi has to use his intelligence to escape from them. Sandhya, who realizes her love for Ravi, follows him, and at one point, she also has to face the danger. The movie has a lot of twists and turns, and it keeps the audience engaged throughout. How Ravi saves himself from the gangsters, how he reveals his true identity to the people involved, and how he wins over Sandhya's father forms the rest of the story.
The movie is a perfect blend of comedy, romance, and action. Nagarjuna's performance as both a musician and a hitman is commendable, and he carries the entire movie on his shoulders. Ramya Krishnan is also impressive as the rich girl who falls for the lazy musician. Soundarya, who plays a small role, lights up the screen with her effervescent beauty. The chemistry between Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishnan is excellent, and they share some sweet moments in the movie.
Apart from the performances, the music of the film is also noteworthy. The soundtrack composed by Raj-Koti was a big hit during the time of its release, with songs like "Priya Raagale," "Erra Gulabilu," and "Ammayi Muddu Ivvande" being chartbusters.
