The movie Hell is a French film. It was meant to be the second film in a trilogy. The third film did not happen due to the death of one of the writers. Hell stars a French cast including Emmanuelle Beart, Marie Gillain, and Carole Bouquet. The movie is set in Paris and follows three sisters. The sisters are named Celine, Anne, and Sophie. The opening scene shows a woman and two young girls. They walk into an office and find their father and a naked young man.

Years later, Celine meets this young man. His name is Sebastian and says that he is responsible for her father being thrown in jail. He tells her that he fell in love with her father and did not know how else to show it besides taking off his clothes. The girls also learn that their father tried to have contact with them once he was released from jail. He breaks into their home and locks his ex wife in the kitchen. The girls are frightened and lock themselves in a room so they do not have to see him. The ex wife breaks out and they get into an alteration. She ends up with a brain injury. The father jumps from a window to his death.

The movie then moves to the present time with the sisters. Anne has an affair with a married man who was a friend of her fathers. Sophie's husband cheats on her ending their marriage. Celine's husband may have also cheated on her a long time ago. Celine contacts her sisters and together they visit the home they grew up in. The girls learn to forgive their father and his actions. They realize that he was not a criminal but rather was in love. The sisters decide that they have no regrets and will hold no grudges with each other or anything from their past.
