Havoc in Heaven is a 1965 animated Chinese movie. Another translation of the Chinese title is Uproar in Heaven. Chinese animated movies were at their peak in the 1960s when Havoc in Heaven was made. The story is based on the novel Journey to the West. The hero of the story is Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King. He rebels against the Jade Emperor of heaven. The opening scene of the movie shows Sun Wukong being born from a rock. Sun Wukong wants a weapon after seeing a military parade. An old monkey tells him to go see the Dragon King. This is the first step in a series of adventures. Fans of animated fantasy movie should check out one of the classic originals of the genre.
