Harsh Times is a crime drama which shows life through the eyes of someone who has gone over to the wrong side of the law. Jim has gotten out of the military where he was a Ranger. The job he counted on as a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department dried up and he is at loose ends. He and his best friend both want jobs so they can marry their girlfriends. Neither has any prospects.
