"Hajji Washington" is an Iranian comedy from the year 1998. Hajji is an affluent Qajari politician, deployed to the United States during Andrew Jackson's presidency in order to serve as the country's Iranian ambassador. Having arrived in the States, Hajji quickly succumbs to homesickness and cultural isolation. When the regime changes to Cleveland's presidency, Noori is deployed to establish an Iranian embassy. It's not long before the lack of satisfying political work hits Noori, who begins looking into a career change.
